1. What we collect

To operate the sponsor-funded, quota-based model, we collect:

• The email address you enter, the IP address of the request, and a timestamp;
• Nothing else. Your content is not stored, logged or retained.

2. What we do NOT collect

We do not use cookies, fingerprinting, third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or social widgets. We do not read, store or share the text or files you process.

3. How content is handled

Text is processed in memory and discarded immediately. Uploaded files are written to a temporary scratch directory on the server, cleaned, and the cleaned copy is deleted immediately after you download it. Any leftover scratch files are automatically swept after a short retention window (default 60 minutes).

4. Why we collect an email

• Enforcing the daily free quota (default: 5 cleanings per email and per IP per day);
• Preventing abuse and spam;
• Operating the sponsor-funded model that keeps the Service free.

5. Storage and retention

Email addresses and usage timestamps are stored in a local SQLite database on the server. We do not sell, rent or share this data with anyone, including our sponsor. You may request deletion of your data at any time via the contact address below.

6. Legal basis (GDPR)

For visitors in the EEA/UK, our legal bases are: legitimate interest (abuse prevention and quota enforcement) and consent (providing your email to unlock results). You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

7. Sponsorship

The Service is sponsored by Memo (heymemo.ai). The sponsor does not receive any of your data, emails, or content. Sponsorship is a link-level arrangement that keeps the tool free.

8. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be announced on this page.
